Garments and textiles is a field in which creativity, technology and management skills come together. This Final Year course offers a challenging educational environment to students with an international focus on Fashion and Textiles in general. The proces of development and production of textile will be subject from the original natural based textiles, till the high-tech textiles incorporating modern technologies. Also the several techniques of printing will be handled with the latest state of the art technology. The focus lies on the application of the textile in fashionable design, the design itself, and the management of the chain from producer to consumer. From its long expertise in textile and fashion production in Enschede and its European Fashion Design History, the School of Applied Art and Technology has moved forward into the international Fashion Design, production and management with a global outlook. The final assignment for the completion of the course will be focussed on the relation between design, production and marketing within an international perspective. Graduates from this Course will have career opportunities within international operating fashion and textile companies.
